HPHT Lab-Grown Diamonds for Wholesale

HPHT lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds grown under extreme pressure and temperature, and Elmonas evaluates them by the finished-stone specification rather than by method alone.

HPHT lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds grown under extreme pressure and temperature, and Elmonas evaluates them by the finished-stone specification rather than by method alone. HPHT uses a carbon source, a diamond seed, and a metal flux or catalyst inside a pressurised capsule.[1]

Key facts

  • Certification: IGI certification can be requested where applicable, with growth method and treatment disclosure addressed in the product record.
  • Tolerance range: On request; measurement and matching tolerances are agreed in writing for each order before selection or production.
  • MOQ: no minimum order for stones 2 carats and above; 10 carats total minimum when individual stones are below 2 carats.
  • Lead time: On request; timing is confirmed at quotation with the production stages for each order.
  • Primary shapes: rounds, ovals, pears, marquises, emeralds, radiants, cushions, hearts, and agreed specialty forms.

HPHT is a commercially important route for colourless and specialty laboratory-grown diamonds. It can offer cost advantages in some standard size and quality bands, and modern HPHT technology can produce large colourless stones. Buyers may also encounter metallic flux inclusions, sector-related colour or fluorescence patterns, graining, or phosphorescence. These possibilities do not determine whether a stone is suitable; inspection and documentation do.

The finished stone enters the jewellery design. Review measurements, shape, cut, colour, clarity, polish, symmetry, transparency, fluorescence, and treatment disclosure rather than buying on process name alone. For a pair or layout, dimensional and visual consistency may be central. For a centre stone, the mounting, face-up appearance, and optical result may take priority.

Elmonas's method-transparent position keeps CVD and HPHT available as routes to a required result. Buyers can specify whether method, treatment, Type IIa status, or other material information is essential. Where applicable, IGI documentation provides report-linked identity and familiar 4Cs information.[2] Public trade evidence suggests HPHT may trade at a discount to CVD in some categories, but no universal price rule applies.[3]
