What calibrated means
A calibrated baguette is cut to a fixed size and held within a stated tolerance, so a row or a pair sits level in the setting. We agree the tolerance in the quotation before cutting.
A tapered baguette narrows from one end to the other. In a trilogy, the wide end sits next to the centre stone and the narrow end points to the shank.
Sizing from the centre stone
The Side Stone Finder shows the tapered baguette size that goes with an emerald-cut or similar rectangular centre, with the proportion rules written out. Use it to set the starting size, then send the final mm sizes with your enquiry.
