How to choose side stones
Side stones are sized from the centre stone. For a trilogy, each side stone is about 60% of the centre width. For a halo, the stones are about 19% of the centre width. The Side Stone Finder applies these rules and shows the working, so you can check any result by hand.
Round side stones suit pave and halo work because they sit evenly in a bead setting. Tapered baguettes suit trilogy shoulders where the stones need to follow the shank. Fancy-shape sides keep the outline of the centre stone.
What to send with an enquiry
Send the shape, the size in mm (or carat), the quantity and the setting. If you are matching a drawing or a sample, send a measurement of the sample. A spec in the finder can be sent on WhatsApp with one tap, with the tag side stones.

- Is there a minimum order for side stones?
- No. One stone is a valid order. Quantity affects the quotation, not whether we can cut it.
- How long do cut-to-order side stones take?
- 1 week for cut-to-order diamonds, confirmed in your quotation. A full jewellery piece takes 2 weeks.
- Are the side stones certified?
- IGI or GIA certified; grades, fluorescence and cut stated per stone. Very small stones are often sold with a parcel summary rather than a report per stone, and the quotation states which applies.
- How do I know what size side stones my centre stone needs?

- What does it cost?
- Prices are quoted on request, per specification, because they depend on shape, size, colour, clarity and quantity.
